WWD reports that Devi Kroell–she of the snakeskin handbags and shoes–is leaving her own company,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], which she founded in 2004.
While we don’t have insider information on this one,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], we tend to think that the Bartel investment and Kroell’s departure are connected. It’s too bad–not only is Kroell a talent,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], she’s also the face of the brand.
Kroell will remain a shareholder and board member,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but she’ll no longer be involved with the day-to-day business.
The news comes just a few months after the Bartel family–known for big investments in labels like Lanvin–bought a significant stake in Kroell’s company.
