For flexibility, you focus on your hamstrings and the inner thigh muscles that surround them. The best exercise for both of these areas is a hyperextension. Basically it is kind of like a leg lift, except you are extending your legs out to the sides instead of bending at the knee. If you perform this exercise correctly, you should notice a bit of tingling or slight burning in your hamstring area. Be careful not to get too carried away; you will pay for it the next day when it hurts to walk. You should also think about adding slow lunges, which will stretch your thigh muscles as well.
