The Hurricane Bear
Hurricane Chicken
Well known Fox News reporter Geraldo Rivera was knocked over by the incoming storm surge as Hurricane Ike approached the shore in Galveston around 12:00 pm the day before landfall of the storm. The firefighters weren't the only ones that burst out with laughter at another hilarious moment for Geraldo.

Not only did he turn his arms around at exactly the right time, but he got to have fun behind the camera for about five seconds before the camera finally panned away from his hilarious antics. Even KHOU reporter Rucks Russell would enjoy seeing that even though attention was diverted from his report. And someone should tell KHOU anchor Greg Hurst that he's a bear [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], not a "clown." Clowns probably could not do anything as hilarious as what Calle did in his 15 seconds of fame.
Jacob Calle, a filmmaker who runs the website Hurricanebear.com, dressed up in a bear suit and walked along the Galveston Seawall during the day on September 12 in an obvious attempt to draw attention to himself. And my goodness did it work! Calle was fetured on CNN, Al-Jazeera, the Wall Street Journal, and the Galveston County Daily News, gaining all kinds of publicity for his silly gestures.
A reporter for the Weather Channel has his report diverted by another attention streaker – or "seeker". It's so funny that toward the end, the Weather Channel reporter begins to realize what's happening and holds his laughter to complete the report as professionally as possible.
Next is a diversion created behind CNN's Anderson Cooper, who was doing a report in Houston the night of the storm. Nothing was "chicken" about daring to disturb a national TV broadcast. Funny how the person and their driver, just as Calle did, knew just when to come into the picture and act silly. The only way it would have been funnier is if the bear had been with him and got out on the other side to further add to the comedy.
On Saturday, September 13 [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], 2008 Hurricane Ike ravaged the Greater Houston and Beaumont Areas in Texas. Although hardly a humorous event given that nearly 200 people died, it left some hilarious moments that one can't help but get a chuckle over [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], pranks pulled by bystanders to distract from various news reports as well as an amazing fall by a well known reporter.
