A Behanding In Spokane discount coach laptop opened on Broadway at The Gerald Schoenfeld Theater on March 4th, 2010 and runs until June 6th, 2010. Written by playwright Martin McDonagh, who received an Academy Award nomination for penning 2008's In Bruges, and directed by BAFTA winner John Crowley (Boy A), the play already has a startling amount of talent behind the scenes. On stage, the cast is composed of four actors: Christopher Walken, Sam Rockwell, Anthony Mackie and Zoe Kazan – all familiar with the camera, yet still manage to sparkle on stage.
A Behanding In Spokane
Christopher Walken's Carmichael is a sad, twisted man and anybody else might have made him too comical, too unbelievable, too much of a parody. But with Walken, we believe him: his terrible actions are completely justified, his co-dependent relationship with his mother, his dreadful racism, everything is just a part of the complexity of this person with a tortured past. Whoever said theater was dead, surely needs to hit the Broadway streets pronto. A Behanding In Spokane proves that theater is still very much alive, but perhaps it has changed its face a tad bit. It seems like it's become financially impossible to be exclusively a dramatic theatrical actor, but Behanding shows that there are still some, few, film actors who have the power and the spark to succeed on stage.

A Behanding In Spokane: A Comedy
It's a ninety-minute play, without intermission starring four familiar faces. Christopher Walken is Carmichael, a man who has had his hand taken from him from very evil people when he was only seventeen years old. Carmichael has dedicated his life to finding his hand, and goes from city to city seeking. He arrives in this un-named town, where he meets Toby and Marilyn (Anthony Mackie and Zoe Kazan), drug dealers who just want to make an easy buck and con Carmichael into thinking they have his long-lost hand. The play is set in a dingy motel room, with an unusual and curious receptionist coach diaper bag clearance, Mervyn, played by Sam Rockwell.
While the summary of the play may make it seem like a sad, dark drama of a lonely man, A Behanding in Spokane is instead, a hilarious dark comedy. The combination of a superb playwright and Christopher Walken's unique abilities makes this an unforgettable theatrical experience. It is, however, Sam Rockwell's "receptionist guy" that really adds the comedy to Behanding. Mervyn is a former speed addict that one day got busted by the police while trying to get a fix, his probation led him to work at the motel, where everyday he is looking for some adventure to distract him from his boring existence. It is when he sees a one-hand man check-in with a pretty young white girl, and a black man coach laptop bag, that Mervyn knows his exciting story has finally arrived.
