The Simple Science of Food - Learn this and you will lose the Fat for Ever
The key to taking control of the way your body looks is to have an understanding of the basic chemistry of food. Once you know how food impacts your body you'll be able to reprogram your metabolism to keep your weight at whatever level you want for the rest of your life. It isn't complicated. As far as your body is concerned, there are only three different categories of food:
Carbohydrates: foods that break down to sugar in your body to fuel your muscles and your brain. These include fruits, vegetables and grains like the wheat in bread and pasta.
Protein: Essential for maintaining muscle tissue, hair and vital organs; can also be used as fuel. Primarily found in animal sources like meat,supra tk society, fish and poultry.
Fat: Contains elements essential to control metabolic rate and other vital systems in the body. Found in a variety of foods including animal fat, vegetables, nuts and dairy.
Each category plays an integral role in a healthy weight loss program. This is the first article in a new series of articles on "Using Food to Lose Fat" we'll look at each one individually so you can understand its role in keeping your body fit and healthy.
Carbohydrates:
Carbohydrates or "carbs" are essential in order to keep your body functioning well. Carbohydrates are the direct precursors to glucose - a form of sugar. Glucose is what fuels both muscle tissue and your brain. Carbohydrates can be subdivided into two groups, the basic difference being how quickly they are broken down and converted into sugar in your body:
Simple: Simple or "fast" carbs are converted to sugar very quickly by your body. Sweet foods like table sugar, candy,juicy couture wallets, honey or molasses and most sweet fruits are all examples of simple carbs.
Complex: Complex carbohydrates are converted to simple sugars much more slowly by your body. Examples of complex carbs are potatoes, yams, rice,good headphones, wheat and other grains.
Many foods, such as milk,cheapest juicy couture, contain fats, protein and carbohydrates.
