He may not be able to communicate well. <br />The severe dementia symptoms include need of assistance in all the activities including walking and bathing, and impairment of swallowing. In more advanced stages, a person suffers from the complete loss of memory. At this stage, he is not able to recognize his family members, friends or relatives.
