The interesting aspect that prompts TV buffs to watch Saturday Night Live is the parody of American pop culture as well as politics. With its ever increasing success, the show has managed to register itself among the longest running TV programs in history. <br />The format of the show is quite refreshing and is based on spoofing the popular culture, films <a href="http://www.edhardyhigh.com/" target="_blank" class="postlink">Ed Hardy 2011</a>, television, politics and such other fields. The uniqueness of the show helped it to standalone among the innumerable programs that are aired on TV. The Saturday Night Live episodes are immensely engrossing and each of them comes out with a different topic of discussion. <br />One has rightly said that humor is the best medicine to ward off tension and stress. There is no denying the fact that comedy shows like Saturday Night Live, act as a great stress buster. Most of the fans will agree that when they watch Saturday Night Live, they not only feel relived but also get to know what’s happening around them. Although the information is given in a satirical manner, the show has always tried to remain in its limits. <br />The concept as well as the screenplay of the show has been stupendous throughout all these years. It’s because of these reasons, that the comedy show has bagged as many as 21 Primetime Emmy awards. Other accolades grabbed by it include Peabody Award and Writers Guild of America Award. A large number of Saturday Night Live episodes have also served as the basis of several feature films. <br />It’s not that the show has never faced stringent restriction. There were many instances when it had to abide by strict censorship rules. The show came under the scanner in 1992, when it satirized the then President-elect Bill Clinton’s daughter Chelsea Clinton. Considering the concept of the show, it can be said that such issues were inevitable. It won’t be wrong to say that spoofing is an integral part of the show, which in one way or the other compels the fans to watch Saturday Night Live with tremendous enthusiasm. <br />It’s the love and response of the fans that the show has accomplished so many successful seasons and is still counting.
