The $17 US cab ride from San Juan's aerodrome to Old San Juan was about half one hour. The waterfront high-rise hotels according the north side of San Juan were visible from the expressway. Our stay for the night was at the Hotel Milano which is right on Calle Fortaleza, which is one of the major advertisement streets in Old San Juan. The hotel was clean and comfortable yet not sumptuous which was OK with us for the cost was very affordable. Its quality was probably comparative to a Travelodge alternatively Days Inn. A very pleasant wonder was the free continental breakfast at the hotel's rooftop restaurant. It gave a fine view of the vicinity from the altitude. <br />We spent the day and evening walking the many cobblestone streets and tracks in the place. There are over 400 restored colonist erections from the 16th and 17th century here. There were also several plaza squares and parks. One of the nicest services offered in Old San Juan namely a free shuttle bus which covers two different paths via the district. There was a bus stop about 1/2 stop away from our hostel which was very convenient. Riding on the shuttle buses through either routes gave us a nice overview of Old San Juan. We were able to stop off at several points of interest including the huge El Morro stronghold. After our visits to each attraction, we fair had to <br />await because the afterward bus apt come along to persist our tour. In the nightfall,<a href="http://www.zhouer.net/" target="_blank" class="postlink">air force one shoes</a>, we did obtain lost meantime walking since numerous of the streets see very alike. But with our map, we finally base our way behind to the avenue where the Hotel Milano was. We judged to eat at 1 of the neighboring cafeterias as reliable Puerto Rican cuisine and were not dissatisfied. My matron especially worshiped the 2 different plantains we arrayed. <br />When it was time to work to the cruise ship terminal, we just took a short five minute ride from our hotel. Our short stay in Old San Juan was definitely worthy and hassle free. A stay in Old San Juan is extremely recommended for those who ambition be catching a Caribbean cruise with San Juan as the departure point. The merely disappointment I had with San Juan was namely I was hoping to do some scuba diving in the area but from the reports I read, the waters off the city are very murky with restricted sailor life to watch. This is possible the result of San Juan creature such a engaged port. The decent scuba diving sites are about 2 hours east of San Juan.
