When injured to a near-death state, Time Lords can cheat death by &lsquo;regenerating&rsquo; &ndash; which changes their bodies and personalities, although they keep all previous knowledge. This is used by the writers so that the story can keep going when actor playing the Doctor decides to leave. <br /><span style="font-style: italic">Doctor Who</span> is a famous science fiction television show on British television channel BBC, following Time Lord &lsquo;The Doctor&rsquo; as he travels through time and space in his capsule, the TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension In Space).
