There is a misconception that reverse engineering is all about bringing an old part back to life. Though, it builds a launch pad as well for numerous other technical advancements. For instance, development of 3D laser scanning could be possible on the ground of reverse engineering. <br />Probably, most of us would be aware about the 3D laser scanner. It captures the real world object and environment in intensive way and demonstrates it in 3Dimensional virtual mode. It is the most time consuming stage.
