ial networks have been growing and have been increasing in popularity over the last few years. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, MySpace-these are common social networking sites and services that are very famous in recent times. This means that more and more people are spending a lot of their time on social network sites. Additionally, major target group for social networks are teenagers, and people in their 20’s and 30’s. Since the beginning of social network most people, many questions have been raised with regard to the amount of time spent on these networking sites, and how that impacts the individual that is active on the site. Now, the questions have become more calculated in terms of how much loss in productivity there has been because of networking sites, and the amount of money lost because of the loss in productivity.

However, despite the losses that companies face, social networks are a necessity not just for employees but for businesses as well. Most of the businesses also depend on social networks to enhance their appearances on different networking and regular network. More often than not, in this age of the internet, people believe word of mouth recognition rather than advertisements. Therefore, the businesses approach towards advertising is also changing. This system forces businesses to hire people to market their products and services through these new mediums. Overall, it could be fair to say that businesses have a price to pay for social networking. However, it is also important to remember that it has become a necessary evil in today’s day and age.
