That night Eric shows up on Sookie’s porch for a little flirting and exposition. We flash back to World War II Germany, where Eric and Godric have tracked down a werewolf. Out of pity, Eric gives the jonesing werewolf some of his blood. She drops the bomb that her boss is another vampire, then jumps on Eric and tries to kill him. Godric saves him, but not without a little maker-progeny lecture about emotions and why they’re bad. This Godric would make a Vulcan proud. Eric tells Sookie this elite pack of werewolves predates the Nazis and runs on vampire blood.
Back in Louisiana, Sookie and Jessica are at Fangtasia showing Eric the “Operation Werwolf” glyph, which turns out to be a Nazi symbol. While Pam and Jessica go to the bathroom for a little girl-talk about dead bodies and how to get rid of them, Eric warns Sookie against the weres. Sookie turns on the waterworks and tells Eric how much she needs his help to find Bill. Either because of their blood bond or because of the Sookie Effect, Eric looks like his heart just grew three sizes.
After Sookie spots another werewolf sniffing around Merlotte’s, Terry gives her his gun and asks if she knows how to use it. “I ain’t that blonde,” she says, deftly spinning the thingy and clicking the whatsit. Because this is the South, people. Arlene barfs a lot and grumps at Terry, who has no idea she's pregnant and thinks she’s mad at him.

Over a three-course blood-themed dinner of which Martha Stewart would surely approve, the king welcomes Bill back to his kingdom and quizzes him about Queen Sophie-Anne [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] whom he thinks Bill is still working for. The king’s consort, Talobt, snarks that she’s “as mad as a monkey on a trike and has been for centuries”, which sounds about right [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but the king calls her “eccentric” because he has designs on Louisiana and figures a marriage with her is his best bet. He even offers Bill a position as Sheriff of Mississippi Area Two in exchange for the inside scoop on the queen, who’s already refused his offer once. He’s convinced Sophie Ann sent Bill to Bon Temps, in spite of Bill’s protests to the contrary.
The episode opens on Bill in mid-fight, chomping off a furry ear à la Tyson. He’s ready for more, but the Vampire King of Mississippi rides up, dressed like he’s about to go hunt foxes across some English dales, and calls them off. The head werewolf, whose name is, amusingly, Cooter, is not happy, but he backs down. Especially after the king shoots one of the wolves in a fit of pique when he finds out about their unscheduled blood-drinking shenanigans.
