The girls meet Jay Manuel for a night photoshoot and he tells them that they will be styled like 1950’s movie stars [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], will be posing with a sexy male model and will be portraying being stalked by the paparazzi. The girls are excited when they find out that Nigel Barker will be photographing them this week.
Anya has a bit of trouble with her photoshoot and Nigel tells her that she needs to make it effortless. Jay keeps distracting Anya and says that’s the only way they are able to get a good photo. Next up is Fatima and Jay feels that she isn’t giving enough. Because she won the challenge, Fatima takes a look at the pictures Nigel has taken so far and agrees with Jay that she could be giving more. However, even with the advantage over the other girls, Fatima’s reel still falls flat.

The judges love Anya’s photo, but Nigel worries because she wasn’t in control and just fell into a great shot. Tyra says that Whitney has a stunning face, but doesn’t come across surprised to see the paparazzi, which was the point of the photoshoot. The judges are unanimous in saying that Dominique looks like a transvestite in her picture and that she needs to work on softening her face. Nigel wonders if she has the right look for CoverGirl. Tyra doesn’t feel that Fatima brought enough to the picture and that like Whitney, she missed the point of the photoshoot. Miss J. says that it’s just a pretty picture.
The next day, the girls arrive in an Italian garden and see Paulina Porizkova posing for fashion photographer, Francesco Licata. Paulina wants the girls to have a sense of what it’s like to be behind the camera, in the hopes that it will help them when they are in front of the camera. So, Francesco gives the ladies a few lessons on how to properly use a camera and have them practice taking pictures of each other.
Fatima is first up and directs Paulina very well [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], using various angles. Paulina says that she was the most relaxed with her. Dominique is completely the opposite of Fatima, in that she has no specific direction and Paulina finds her very confusing. Whitney communicates very well to Paulina and doesn’t hesitate, just shoots. Paulina tells Whitney that it feels like she knows what she’s doing. Anya, on the other hand, is all over the place. While Paulina says that she is the most fun to shoot with, she also says that she needs to narrow her focus. Paulina decides that Fatima did the best job and award her with 50 extra frames at the next photo shoot.
Paulina informs the girls that they will have five minutes to take pictures of herself and that she will be judging based on how well they work with her and how well the pictures turn out.
Jay says that Whitney isn’t interacting with her male model, so the shot feels awkward. Nigel tells Whitney that she looks great, but that she is still posing too much. Neither Jay nor Nigel are impressed by Dominique and feel that she’s slipping down in the ranks. Jay says that her poses look staged and that she just needs to be herself.
The Final Judgement
After the final judging last week, Whitney is surprised that she’s still in the competition and feels that she really needs to prove to the judges that she belongs. The other girls start to feel the pressure of being in the top four.
